Edward
Gamble - non executive director
Edward Gamble is a social science graduate and a full
member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations
(CIPR). He has extensive experience in integrated communications
planning and management. He has a wide network of contacts
both in the media and with high profile figures in public
life.
Edward worked for a public relations
consultancy as an account manager prior to setting up
his own public relations consultancy called Zebra Public
Relations in 1992. His clients included a travel company,
an Environmental medicine centre, further and higher
education institutions, a civil engineering plant manufacturer,
a business support agency, a local authority and a computer
software reseller. He was Press Officer for three years
at Leeds Polytechnic and before that was a political
researcher at the House of Commons.
In 1994, whilst running Zebra PR and
acting as a company director for the family lace business,
Edward taught part-time on the Public Relations degree
course at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Ed
Collard - director
Ed is an award-winning journalist of 20 years standing: experienced in both print and broadcasting. A former features writer and columnist on the Liverpool Daily Post and Liverpool Echo, he worked in ITV News for 12 years as news producer, reporter/presenter and for six years as features editor for Central News in the Midlands. He also produced, directed, wrote and filmed several documentaries for ITV, winning critical acclaim, several nominations and awards.
To reflect the changing pace of journalism and technology, he’s now an experienced camera operator and Avid-trained VT editor: bringing together a powerful skill set to produce video and audio for broadcast, DVD production and the web, as well as running media training courses
Ed’s a graduate of Leeds University in English and Drama.
Martin
Ruston - consultant
Martin Ruston has wide-ranging experience in public
relations and marketing, gained in both the private
and public sectors. He is a psychology graduate with
an Advanced Professional Diploma in Public Relations.
Martin worked for three and a half
years for an international holding company, managing
the PR for a range of subsidiaries before moving to
a London-based PR consultancy. Clients included medium
to high-tech companies in the safety and security industry
as well as conveyor systems and robotics manufacturers.
He has also worked as a photographer and freelance photo-journalist.
From 1992 to 2001 Martin worked
for Leeds Training and Enterprise Council, managing
corporate communications and PR as well as co-ordinating
all aspects of marketing and promotional activity.
